    @rozzers13 wow … so true :)

  2. rozzers13 says:

@phatpeople1234 you obviously have no musical taste or experience, DT’s songs are by far some of the most technical pieces writen since the clasical era!! and the soul involved in writing the songs was immense!! if you knew anything about mike portnoy and what the songs mean then you would know what soul really is!!

  3. amazing, makes me to pick the guitar and play along this isolated drums

    5*

  4. jorandiguz says:

This are isolated drums, do you understand? There are other musicians playing along with him live.If you listen to the entire group, the drums will make sense and you will see how difficult is to play this. But if you don’t like progressive rock, then go and listen other stuff. Hope you play as good as Portnoy, he does not play in the conventional signature timing, that it is probably what you are used to listen

  5. MrBrady85 says:

and you are so much better? i think its amezing that someone can play this good live. its perfect.

  6. uellalla says:

saw them 7 times in 6 years! they sound great live, most of all they have lots of fun on stage and put on a hell of a show!

  7. cfybbdrummer says:

really what would you call the groove round :49 on? and btw, this song isn’t meant to be a straight up beat on drums or in any instrument, but that doesnt mean it aint musical.

  8. Munki6 says:

yep. It’s the PA. DT use in-ear monitors.

They must sound so good live, sonically. Everything’s so pristine and crystal clear.

  9. this is so shity, mike portnoy has no rythem or timing, he is constantly moving one of his limbs and this music has no soul

  10. uellalla says:

i believe these are the drum tracks, and the other instruments we barely hear is what is picked up from the condensers coming from the PA or probably monitors….thanks, been waiting for something like this for years, sounds great!

  11. bariskaan says:

i think hes the best too but just because u put that stupidly insisting “ok?” in the end i would contradict

  12. bariskaan says:

i cant believe a human being can play this perfect on a live show
just no f.cking mistake god damn you portnoy, what youre doin is only makin drummers suffer

  13. AKtifosi says:

amazing? he is the best ! ok’?

  14. Wow this guy is amazing

  15. DrMorbid says:

DanDantheMusiqueMan: These are isolated microphones on Mike’s kit. And of course, because it is life on stage, you can slightly hear other instruments through them.

  16. technically its not the isolated drums, since you can hear the music its just been lowered to an almost non-existent level.

  17. nzjuan says:

easy, they muted everything but the mics of the drums.

  18. AKtifosi says:
