    Sorry wan I am sorry you misunderstood me i was wondering who was your grandmasters master and his master and his mater all the way back to when it began

    Thanks

    @sh61 if you don’t want to learn from wan’s teachers go away. Nobody is holding a gun to your head and making you learn this stuff. By the way you can’t speak for everyone else jack ass.

  7. @sh61 RE: “I bid you farewell with your own words to syphen888 without stating your lineage, you are a rogue critic”

    I was hoping you would eventually notice that the details of both Grand Masters’ credentials have been in the “More Info” box the whole time. That’s why I told MewTwo it’s silly to ask for what you already have.

    PS. I recommend working on being able to notice “interweb” blue “hyper” links first before progressing to critiquing Tai Chi Sword Forms. – Just sayin.

    @yogameditation. My final reply: Keep your fortune cookie wisdom. The only thing thats cloudy is your teachers Tai Chi lineage. You ask $450/days Tai Chi sword training yet for some reason wont state the lineage despite several opportunities to do so. I bid you farewell with your own words to syphen888 without stating your lineage, you are a rogue critic. As such, your comments have no weight in the martial tradition.

  9. @sh61 my job is the shed light on stuff. So I will. You “would imagine” that you’re not the only one interested in learning a bit more. So, you “would imagine” that I would be interested in teaching a bit more. Just because a gully would like to be filled with water, it imagines that the clouds would like to rain upon it.

  11. @mewtwo55555 it’s silly to ask for something you were already given

  12. @HybridDragons When you are confronted by a man you do not understand, there is a saying, “Either he is really really dumb, or he is really really smart.”

  13. That’s a nice saying… I’ll keep that in my head.

  14. mewtwo55555 says:

    My full name Jaime L stone

    My instructors name SIfu bill bougart

    Sun style taichi

    I was wondering Why is it that the sword form starts out taichi but ends up with something different?

    Could we possibly get a lineage on your master grandmaster sung baek?

    Thanks

    The tao te ching goes on to say

    Reserve your judgments and words;
    Smooth differences and forgive disagreements;
    Dull your wit and simplify your purpose;
    Accept the world.

    Then,
    Friendship and enmity,
    Profit and loss,
    Honour and disgrace,
    Will not affect you;
    The world will accept you.

    He who knows, does not speak.
    This is what Taoists believe. That is why they are quiet.

  17. sh61 says:

    @yogameditation ….. why not start the ball rolling by stating your own teacher’s Tai Chi lineage and the lineage of this form per my last message? I would imagine that I’m not the only one interested to learn a bit more here
    Thanks

  18. Wan, answer me this.

    Why doesn’t the world acknowledge such skill?

  19. lookElike says:

    Well one purpose is to gain conscious control over the body. We use meditation to gain control over the mind because other wise it goes and does it’s own thing :o ) It’s the same with the body. See how long you can sit still without moving. Our body’s twitch and move around all the time without our conscious awareness. Martial art is good for body control, exercise, blood flow, breathing, chi movement. It’s very beneficial. If you like swords, then this one is a bonus ;o)

  20. @oxboxfox, the double edge taichi sword is like a whip – floppy. In a bar, you can use your belt to approximate it or break off a table leg and all the same movements apply

  21. RE: “he comes dangerously close to harming himself.”

    What you mean is that if YOU tried the same maneuver, YOU’D harm yourself.

  22. @syphen888 without stating your lineage, you are a rogue critic. As such, your comments have no weight in the martial tradition. You wasted keystrokes. Deleted and Blocked.

  23. @sh61 use google. and see USKSF

  24. oxboxfox says:

    What’s the purpose of this other than a certain kind of physical poetry? It’s not like you’re going to be walking out a bar one day and suddenly find yourself in a sword fight.

  25. sh61 says:

    Wan,

    Enjoyed your post of this “Tai Chi” sword form. Good to see forms done with speed and vigour and not just slowly.

    Please advise the lineage of this form and the Tai Chi lineage(s) of Sung Baek and He Wei Qi. The USKSF site mentions much about He Wei Qi’s wushu background but no overt mention of Tai Chi.

    Please also clarify about the applications – these seem like sabre/dao application while the form was with a jian/ 2 edged blade.

    Thanks
